Medium Carbon Graphite

• Performance:
  Flake graphite features intact crystalline structure, thin flakes with good toughness, and excellent physical and chemical properties. It possesses outstanding heat resistance, self-lubricating ability, electrical conductivity, thermal resistance, thermal shock resistance, and corrosion resistance.
• Applications:
  Flake graphite is widely used in the metallurgical industry for advanced refractory materials and coatings, such as magnesia-carbon bricks and crucibles. In the military industry, it serves as a stabilizer in pyrotechnic materials. In smelting, it is used as a desulfurization and accelerator agent. In light industry, it is used for pencil leads; in the electrical industry for carbon brushes; in the battery industry for electrodes; and in the fertilizer industry as a catalyst.

With further processing, flake graphite can also be made into graphite emulsion, which is used in lubricants, release agents, drawing agents, and conductive coatings. It can also be processed into expandable graphite, which serves as a raw material for flexible graphite products such as flexible graphite seals and composite materials.
